When Did You Last Review Your Insurance Policies?

By Moize Goulamhoussen · · 3 min read

Insurance is often bought at one stage of life and then forgotten. Yet your income, your family and your obligations change, and coverage that once fit may no longer do the job.

What a review looks at

A review compares what you have today with what your family or business would actually need: life, disability, critical illness and long-term care coverage, and for business owners, key-person and buy-sell arrangements.

It can reveal gaps, overlaps, or permanent policies that are not performing as originally illustrated.

Advice first

The goal is not to sell more coverage. Sometimes the right answer is to keep what you have. When something new is genuinely needed, it should be structured around your plan.
